Who operates the site and acceptance of the terms

headsparkup operates this website from the United Kingdom. By accessing or using the site and enrolling in Course A, which provides a headline and editorial production guide covering story angles, newsroom planning, script preparation and workflows for media-ready content, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the site immediately. These terms form a binding contract under UK law between you and headsparkup.

Eligibility and permitted use

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering contracts to use the site or purchase the course. Permitted use is limited to personal or professional development in editorial skills. You may access course materials for your own learning but may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit any content without prior written consent from headsparkup.

Prohibited conduct

You must not use the site for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to infringing intellectual property rights, distributing malware, harassing others or attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems. Sharing login credentials, reverse-engineering course materials or posting defamatory content about the course is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access.

Accounts, submissions and user content

Creating an account requires accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details. Any submissions such as course feedback or project work remain your property but grant headsparkup a non-exclusive licence to use anonymised examples for improving future training. You must not submit content that violates third-party rights or contains illegal material.

Ownership of site content, trademarks and permitted limited use

All course materials, including guides on story angles, newsroom planning, script preparation and media workflows, are owned by headsparkup or its licensors. Trademarks and logos may not be used without permission. You may print or download materials solely for personal study; any other reproduction requires explicit approval.

Third-party services and links

The site may reference third-party tools or platforms used in editorial production. headsparkup does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, security or availability of these services. Any interaction with third parties is at your own risk and subject to their separate terms.

Availability, changes, suspension and termination

headsparkup aims to maintain continuous access but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. The company may update course content, suspend accounts for breaches or terminate access at its discretion. You may cancel your enrolment subject to the refund policy stated at purchase.

Disclaimers subject to mandatory consumer law

Course materials are provided for educational purposes. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, headsparkup does not warrant that the content will meet every professional requirement or produce specific outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other rights that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.

Limitation of liability

Subject to the above, headsparkup’s total liability for any claim arising from use of the site or course shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the course. This limit applies to direct losses only and does not cover indirect or consequential damages where such exclusion is permitted by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify headsparkup against any claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the course materials, including any infringement of third-party rights resulting from your own adaptations of the editorial workflows taught.

Governing law, courts and consumer dispute rights

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, although UK consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their local courts if applicable. Alternative dispute resolution options, including through the UK’s consumer protection bodies, remain available where required by law.

Severability, waiver, changes, contact route and last-updated date

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force. Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver. headsparkup may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Contact headsparkup via the form on the Contacts page or by writing to 16 High Holborn, London, WC1V 6BX, United Kingdom or emailing [email protected]. These terms were last updated on 22 September 2026.
